Are you looking for something to freshen you wardrobe this spring? Spring is officially arriving this weekend. Longer days, and hopefully warmer ones to look forward to. Things are starting to look up after months of quarantines and lockdowns. Vaccines are making it into arms all over the country. We will be going out again safely, soon. If you want to add just a few pieces to your look in anticipation of living a normalish life, why not chose one of the new stripes? They come in many forms and materials. There is something wonderfully refreshing about the clean geometry of stripes. The new stripes can be simple or not so simple. In any case they look great. Why not come on a tour of some of the stores in the city. Let’s look at the new stripes. You will look striking this spring.
Here are two wonderful looks. The clean sweater on the left can be sporty with athletic shorts, or more citified when worn with some cool black jeans or pants. The Blue striped shirt dress on the right is the clean new look to wear for spring. The touch of preppiness is the way to go.
Blue and white stripes always look good. Monse takes a shirt and deconstructs it, and adds some long ties so you can get creative. There is nothing preppy here.

This blue Isabel Marant striped sleeveles shirt with the padded shoulder is being copied everywhere, The padding gives the shoulder a lift for spring and summer and the nip waist makes you look great. Try the red one too with some white jeans.
Chloe does a neat dress in mixed blue and white stripes. The white collar is outlined with a sweet embroidery. Clean, simple and chic. The way this spring should be.
If you want a bolder look, try Dries Van Noten’s cool printed placed stripe camp shirt and skirt. Crisp navy and white is picked up with small turquoise accents.
Mixing sizes of stripes is another design devise being used these season to great effect. This shirt is a classic with a twist will remain a wardrobe staple for years to come.
JW Anderson had his mixed stripes woven to order in delicious melange of pale green and lavender. To modernize a classic shirt, he added some stategic cut outs and some flying wings.
While there were many blue stripes, this cool shirt dress with a self wrap tie looks crisp and fresh in a mid level green.

Alexandre McQueen punches up some very cool leather pants with clean and clear stripe sweater. A very autoritative look for this season.
Stripes can be warm and sunny too. This season is actually offering wear now clothing. It’s still cold in most of the country. This season you can add some pieces that you can actually wear when you buy them.

And never forget pin stripes. This outfit’s suble beige on beige pin stripe offers a very relaxed striped look. It is relaxed, yet pulled together.
