Let’s explore some of the new leather looks for fall. Find your stand out looks.

There are leather looks all over this season, and they are found at all price points and categories. Leather coats have always looked good, but this red Prada trench looks particuliarly chic. It is a timeless style done in a vibrant color.

Chloe offers this stand out style in a pieced together stripe, with a zig-zag applique. There is a matching bag, but wearing them together would be a little too much.

And Sacai makes yummy looking shealing jackets and coats. Again, the red looks new and fun.

A long, liquid leather coat is simple and sleek. It is worn over brown here, but would look equally good over tweeds or black clothing.

ALC does a great faux-leather short puffer that is fun and new at the same time. Pair it with a skirt like this, or pants.

And this longer puffer parka is glam and warm. The shiny surface works with almost anything.

Miu Miu goes a bit tough with these two jackets, pairing them with side laced pants. A short shearling aviator jacket is on the left, and an appliqued yoke on the right takes the biker jacket to new places.

This cute jacket is made from quilted leather. Again it is red, a key color for leather weather clothing.

Red is featured again in this sleek flaired jacket. The narrow armholes are a nice change from the boxy oversized jackets that proliferate now.

Simone Rocha makes a very girly jacket in leather with puff sleeves and some ruffles. The belted crop length works with her full dress.

Leather can go lean and sexy too. Pair a biker jacket with a crop top and vinyl leggings, or slit a slip dress, and leather goes into another direction.

There are new looks in skirts too. The ALC pleated skirt in faux leather is romantic.

This leather mini can work for day or night. Paired with sequin top it is on the dressy side. It would look equally good for daytime working with an oversized cosy sweater.

There are lots of leather pants around this season. You can simply pair them with an interesting top.

The newest thing is leather shorts. Pleated front shorts in caramel look cool. The neutral makes a much less agressive statement than black leather would.

Leather “suits” are new this year. Cuffed shorts and a bomber jacket are a young new way to dress.

Givenchy does a leather suit too this year. The skirt comes with complex geometric cut-outs. Tres chic.

Miu Miu loves a python print on leather for a warm winter suit. And why not? And it is even better when you add two belts.

This leather suit, with the sculptural underpiece is a slick way to look this season.

This Theory suit is a bit on the oversized-side. The weight of the material puts the pounds on in a way that the tighter to the body styles do not.

Veronica Beard offers this fittied embossed crocodile suit in a dark burgundy. The good things about suits is that you can wear the pieces separately,

And a two piece look can always be made with a pleather shirt and skirt. Tied together with matching trim.

Theory and Staud offer two different takes on a black blazer suit. Both are good.

Cinq a Sept offers a cheecky off the shoulder leather dress and ALC a buttoned up Blazed and pair of pants.

And then there are dresses. This one is user friendly. The flaired cuff and shirt give it singuliar look. Very polished. And the color is a burgundy-brown.

But this burgundy leather wrap is not exactly flattering. The wrapped and ruched waist combined with a too serious button up shirt are not exatly flattering. And the fabrication is a bit too thick to drape as it should. When you wear leather- keep the lines simple.
